I created Crafting KidLit because I wanted a place where middle grade and young adult writers wouldn’t have to:
act like they have everything figured out (we’re a community of learners!)
explain why they write for kids or how writing for kids is not easier than writing for adults (we totally get it!)
wonder about the best way to get their novel written and revised (we help you figure out what works best for YOU!)
Are you a writer of middle grade or young adult novels?
My 6-month group coaching program is designed just for you! I understand the importance of capturing young minds through emotionally resonant and imaginative fiction. That's why we focus on two key elements: heart and craft.
Heart represents the visionary principles and immersive imagination that we tap into when crafting stories for young readers. I believe in embracing themes of wonder, connection, and empathy—all essential in youth literature. Writing for young minds is not just about telling a story; it's about making a positive impact on their lives.
Craft symbolizes the exacting process, structural knowledge, and execution capabilities required to bring those conceptual seeds to life. It's about transforming ideas into tangible, well-constructed stories that captivate readers. This program combines both of these elements to give you a holistic approach to creative writing.
We’ll provide frameworks and instruction to level up your skills. But we also want to support your personal growth and help you reach your highest creative potential in an encouraging community.
Throughout the 6-month program, we'll interweave heart and craft principles, allowing you to manifest beautifully executed stories while advancing personally as a writer. It's a transformative experience that will refine your craft while helping you grow.
If you're ready to embrace your creativity and dedicate yourself to mastering the art of impactful storytelling, this program is here to support you every step of the way. Let's come together and bring forth stories that resonate with young readers and make a lasting positive impact!
