Hi, I’m Christy!
I am a certified Author Accelerator book coach and story editor. I work with serious children’s book writers who want to write stories that engage, encourage, and empower young readers.
I can help you strategize, outline, draft, revise, and edit your story so you can get it into the hands of the young people who need it most.
Reading fiction develops empathy, emotional intelligence, and creativity.
Every child should be able to see themselves–their whole selves–in the pages of a book. We all deserve:
A sense of self
A sense of belonging
A sense of wellbeing
Stories give us valuable insights into the human condition.
They help us make sense of the world. Of ourselves.
I believe books and stories are important, especially books for children and teens.
Writing a GOOD children’s book can be hard.
I can help make the writing and revising process straightforward and streamlined, so you can focus on telling the story that only YOU can tell.
We all deserve to see ourselves in a book.
Someone out there needs your story!
Why work with a book coach like me?
Working with a professional book or writing coach means you get:
An active listener who is devoted to your story. Your story is in your head 24/7. You deserve someone to share it with!
An expert editor to give you honest feedback on everything from your initial idea to your final draft. You benefit from my decades of ongoing training and experience.
An accountability partner to help you establish the habits that will keep you on track. We’ll come up with a plan that suits your goals and situation while maintaining self-care.
A compassionate mentor to help you through your doubt and your deadlines. It happens to all of us, but we won’t let it derail you.
A fellow children’s book lover who takes writing for children seriously! It has its own rules and conventions, and can be harder than writing for adults. But it can also be soooo much more rewarding!
Book a curiosity call so we can chat about your specific needs and goals.
I’ll make sure you walk away with at least two actionable steps to move your writing forward.
